18th Century Fitted Silk Jacket, pale eau de Nil stripes alternating with woven floral stripes...

18th Century Fitted Silk Jacket, pale eau de Nil stripes alternating with woven floral stripes of cream and biscuit, front buttons present and with needlework coverings, small stand up collar, shaped sleeves with turned back cuffs, inside of the cuffs lines with cream silk and sleeves lines with light brown silk as is the body of the jacket, internal waistband of silk woven in gilt thread with the name "Madame S?imon **** Quay Masset ***", the rear skirt to jacket open at centre with pleats to each side, two further matching buttons

Armholes piped in same fabric. Interior of bodice with long boning. Inside to collar slightly different shade of silk, boning exposed in places as covering fabric is worn. Shoulders with extensive wear to silk. Some areas of wear on outer edge of sleeves. Underarms silk worn, right sleeve seam coming away. Light staining mainly to right hand side. Worn area to bottom front hem, slightly less wear to bottom right hem. Weight added to front corner right side.
