A Pair of George IV Silver Spectacles in a Silver-Mounted Shagreen Case
Maker's Mark Worn, Perhaps WM, Probably London, Circa 1830
with oval lenses and double-hinged arms, the conforming case tapering and with reeded silver mounts, the hinged cover applied with a cartouche with engraved initials

The glasses are part marked on each side of the central bow and further part marked on each hinged section of the arms. The marks are somewhat obscured by tarnish. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The hinges all function correctly. The case with some marks to the shagreen overall.
