A George IV Silver Vinaigrette

oblong and with engine-turned decoration and foliage and flower borders, opens to reveal a foliage and flower pierced and engraved grille

36mm wide, 12dwt, 18gr

Part marked inside base and cover. The grille marked with lion passant. The marks are generally clear. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is some bruising to the grille and two areas which are possibly lacking scroll decoration. The hinge doesn't close tightly.
