Two Edwardian Pendants on Chains

comprising of, a 9 carat gold peridot, pink tourmaline and split pearl pendant on chain, the round cut peridot within an open work frame of round cut pink tourmaline and split pearls, suspending a pear shaped peridot, suspended from a split pearl bale, in yellow claw settings, on a trace link chain; and a peridot and split pearl pendant on chain, the oval cut peridot within a split pearl border, to an open work foliate motif split pearl frame, suspending a similarly set drop and bale, in yellow claw and millegrain settings, on a trace link chain

pendant length 4.4cm, chain length 48cm and pendant length 5.2cm, chain length 44.5cm respectively

The pieces are in fair condition commensurate with age, the tourmaline example is lacking a seed pearl. The tourmaline example fastens with a tongue and barrel catch. The peridot example fastens with a bolt ring catch, and also can be adapted to a brooch (pin and C-hook), the bale is detachable. Tourmaline example is hallmarked with maker's mark 'HM', Birmingham, 1908, the chain has an applied plaque stamped '9C'. Peridot example is stamped '9CT' and the chain has an applied plaque stamped '9CT'. Gross weight 15.0 grams. CR made 27.07.22.
