Interesting family accumulation of a vintage nature in an old suitcase, with two albums including a nice range of pre-war mint issues, plus loose material in envelopes and cigarette tins, with GB line-engraved incl. perf 1d red mint multiples, a couple of damaged large covers pre-1910 addressed to Grand-Duke Michael Mikhailovich at Keele Hall, Staffs, etc, etc. Close inspection recommended.

261 lots including several exciting original collections fresh to the market. Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
