. Velvet Robe - The yellow silk lining to the inside of the neck has shredded, replacement blue wool panels to the inside opening of the robe, and the yellow silk trim is worn and rubbed in several places overall. The velvet is faded and worn in a couple of areas, and some staining, some of the seams appear slightly open, some stitched repairs, cream cotton lining has staining and wear. Silk Skirt - It's almost completely shredded to the waistband, and to one side of the the front opening, the lower part of the fabric is good, slight wear overall, a few original pattern marks visible to the top near the waistband, slight fading

We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. Our Condition Reports are not prepared by professional conservators, restorers, or engineers, and are prepared with the naked eye unless otherwise stated.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
