Black Velvet Shoulder Cape - numerous small holes and tears to the black lace, which is also faded, edges of the velvet are also worn, black silk lining, there is a split and stitched repairs to each arm, the trim to the reverse has come loose, and general wear. Black Silk Capelet - numerous beads are missing, loose threads and fading, ribbon worn. Early 20th Century Black Velvet Cape - couple of staining marks to the lining, wear and slight fading, slight fading to the black velvet.

We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
