A George III or George IV Silver-Gilt Mounted Glass Vinaigrette
Apparently Unmarked, Circa 1820

the fluted opalescent glass body with plain silver-gilt mounts, opening to reveal a pierced and engraved grille, with suspension loop

4.2cm high including loop

Sold for £170
Estimated at £120 - £180


There are no hallmarks. There are chips to the glass. The hinged grille has been repaired, though this is only obvious when looking under the grille. The cover closes tightly.
