A Multi-Gemstone Butterfly Brooch
First quarter 20th century

with cabochon turquoise, rose cut and lasque cut diamond set wings and a synthetic sapphire and synthetic ruby set body, in white and yellow claw settings, total estimated diamond weight 0.20 carat approximately

measures 4.1cm by 2.9cm

The brooch is in poor condition, some of the turquoise are discoloured and there are chips evident throughout the stones. It fastens with a pin and C-hook catch and features a later safety chain. It bears no hallmark nor stamp, in our opinion would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour J/K/L, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 11.2 grams. CR made 22.07.22.
