An Edward VII Silver and Enamel Cigarette-Case
by Adie Brothers, Birmingham, 1936

oblong, the hinged cover enamelled with a Bugatti 57 type coupe, realistically painted in two-tone blue and within a landscape, the base engine-turned, the gilt interior engraved with an inscription dated 1937

15.5cm wide, gross weight 7oz 5dwt, 225gr

The inscription reads 'To Fred from Chris 15 September 1937'.

Fully marked inside cover and part marked inside base. The marks are clear. There are some scratches to the enamel and a very small flaw in the very top corner of the enamel. There is some surface scratching and minor wear overall, noticeable as a softening to the high points. The straps are lacking from the inside.
