Marriage Settlement in English, 5th March 23 Eliz. [1581], between Sir John Tracy of Toddington, Glos. and Edmond Braye snr. of Taynton, Oxon. with respect to the Marriage of Edmond Braye jnr. and Dorothy Tracy. As well as the payment of £1000, the settlement includes the transfer of the manors of Great Barrington, Little Barrington and Great Rissington.
English manuscript on two sheets of parchment, 64 lines and 56 lines, approx 58cm x 67cm, folded, well preserved wax seal;
Buckinghamshire land conveyance, 1st/5th December 44 Eliz. [1601], between Antonie Chester of Chicheley, Bucks and Thomas and Francis Catesby of Hardmeade, Bucks, for land, pasture and meadow at Hardmeade.
English manuscript on parchment, 44 lines, approx 40cm x 60 cm, wax seal attached. Notarial endorsement of John Torr in attractive hand verso. (2)
