No addressee, three pages on single folded sheet, watermarked 1822, evidence of having been pasted in album, hole at head of third page (not affecting script) with staining.
[Caveat: A concern has been raised with the auctioneers during viewing about the authenticity of this letter, in particular the location at the head of the letter and the form of signature, i.e. 'Byron' rather than 'N.B.'. Multiple images of the letter are available on the Tennants website to allow prospective bidders to form their own opinion on authenticity prior to bidding];
idem, an early facsimile of the 'Vampire letter' which Byron wrote to the editor of Galignani's Messenger, denying authorship of 'The Vampire' which appeared in the publication,
dated April 27th 1819, three sides of one folded sheet with address on fourth side. It is believed that Galignani inserted copies of the letter in his 1826 edition of Byron's Works without any reference to them.
