pear-shaped and on spreading foot, engraved with foliage within strapwork, one side further engraved with a crest, the other side with a vacant cartouche, with ivory-insulated scroll handle, the hinged cover with melon and foliage cast finial

Fully marked underneath and further part marked inside cover, on finial and on handle. There is some wear to the marks but in general they are clear. There is some minor surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is some cracking and discolouration to the ivory insulators. There are some pin dents on the lower body.
