Early 20th Century Evening Bags, comprising a silver mounted hinged evening bag, pierced with figural and floral design, Chester silver, makers mark BM with later black floral purse and light blue silk lining, 21cm by 15cm; circa 1920s mesh purse with yellow and black stylised decoration, 13cm by 10cm; drawstring bead purse in red, gold, green and blue, 15cm by 20cm; London silver buckle, 6cm by 4cm; gilt metal decorative buckle and another (6)

Silver mounted evening bag - replacement outer fabric and lining, small split to silver mount, and slightly bent and mis-shapen. Drawstring purse - repalacement lining, straps repaired and worn.

The sale will also include a selection of Zandra Rhodes Dresses, a private collection of textiles with provenance from the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma and thence by family descent, a collection of monogrammed bed linen and accessories for Princess Mary of Harewood House, West Yorkshire, and a collection of costume, textiles & ephemera from Castle Howard, North Yorkshire.

Viewing

Wednesday 17 August - Thursday 18 August 10am-4pm, Friday 19 August 10am-5pm and morning of sale from 8am. Viewing is open to the public, there is no need to make an appointment.
