. American brown suit - has a crêpe lining, slight wear over all. Smart Set Sports wear suit- skirt has been repaired to the centre seam and rubbing to the velvet, jacket has a small hole/pull to top of one arm and slight wear overall. Green and purple tweed suit - slight wear overall. Rust jacket - silk lining is worn, there is one button missing, wear overall to the jacket and loose threads. Blue cotton suit - some slight wear. Grey suit - - skirt shows slight wear, jacket are very worn to the left arm, silk split in a couple of areas to the bust, and design rubbed, slight wear overall. Brown silk two piece - slight discolouration under the arms of the dress, and rubbing, and wear to both. Blue/grey crepe dress - -crepe is very faded, a couple of marks to the front of the skirt, some loose threads and a matching jacket with panelled detail to the front and back, cuffs-again very faded and worn. New York Creations suit -a small hole to the skirt, both very worn bobbling, fading and loose threads. Jaeger coat - some slight bobbling, rubbing to the lining which appears to have dropped lower than the outside fabric at the hem. Black wool coat - slight wear to the lining and overall.

We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition. A Condition Report is an honest expression of our opinion, not a statement of fact and is provided as a service to the seller. All lots are available on public view ahead of an auction and we encourage prospective buyers to inspect an item in person where possible. Our Condition Reports are not prepared by professional conservators, restorers, or engineers, and are prepared with the naked eye unless otherwise stated.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
