A Diamond, Pearl and Synthetic Ruby Brooch
four yellow plain polished bars overlaid with an old cut diamond and a fly motif, with a pearl body, a cushion cut synthetic ruby head, and rose cut diamond eyes and antennae terminations, in yellow claw and rubbed over settings, total estimated diamond weight 0.25 carat approximately
length 5.5cm
NB: the pearl has not been laboratory tested

The brooch is in fair condition with evidence of lead solder to the reverse and to one wing, there are chips to two of the rose cut diamonds. It fastens with a pin and c-hook catch and features a safety chain. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour tinted, clarity SI2/I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 9.0 grams. CR made 06.11.23.
