Manuscript - 'Adolph Prince D Angleterre 1796'.
Manuscript vocal scores in Italian, French and German.
Comprising index (on front free endpaper verso) and 191 pages of scores, presumably for a musical performance, one page headed 'Recit: et Aria de Sigs: Giuseppe Giordani', oblong folio, bookplate of the 7th Earl of Harewood, some staining to latter pages, front hinge broken at endpaper, all edges gilt, worn full morocco binding with title in gilt to upper board.
[Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge (1774-1850) was the tenth child of George III. He lived in Germany for most of his early adult life where he commanded the Hanoverian Guards. A village in Hanover (Adolphsdorf) was named after him. A basic internet search has failed to find a published work under this title though it is possible that the 'title' relates to ownership or presentation rather than the name of the work.].
