1781 - pin securing the hinge is missing and this would require replacement, appears to have had some small restorations in the past, the gilding is rubbed, and there is some heavy rubbing on the angle of the shoulder of the glass itself, possibly some polishing on the foot rim where old chips or flakes may have been. 1793 - similar to the preceding , hinge is wobbly, small strip torn off edge of the lid at the back, some later? Filler material to the silver collar around the neck, chips to the base and possibly small amounts of repolishing. Sold with all faults. 071010
