♦Late Anglo-Saxon, Cnut (1016-35) Silver Penny, Pointed Helmet type, London Mint; obv. ‘CNVT REX A’ around helmeted bust left with sceptre, rev. ‘GODRIC ON LVND’ around voided short cross with centre & outer circles, a broken annulet enclosing a pellet in each angle, S.1158, full, well struck flan with light golden tone in legends, EF or+.
