Rolex: A Rare 9 Carat Gold Automatic Centre Seconds Wristwatch
signed Rolex, Officially Certified Chronometer, model: Oyster Perpetual, ref: 6564, 1955

(calibre 1030) lever movement signed and numbered 570405, adjusted to five positions and temperature, original black dial with gilt writing and baton markers, screw down crown, screw back signed inside with maker's mark Montres Rolex S.A Geneva Switzerland, Glasgow import mark for 1955 and numbered 6564, case serial number 113644, later 9 carat gold mesh bracelet with clasp stamped with Birmingham hallmark for 1959, with original chronometer timing certificate dated 29 Dec 1955

Case with surface scratches, case sides with minor dents, gold bezel is missing on this watch, later bracelet, crown is screwing down correctly on the threaded tube, original dial finish has a good colour and nice patina, dial surface lacquer has dried and now has a nice even crazing affect to the surface which is only visible under an eyeglass, hand setting correctly, movement in going order. Total watch weight 72g.
