Miscellaneous Lot comprising: £1.82½ face value pre-20 silver, all Victoria or pre-Victoria, an accumulation of bronze & copper coins, 18th to 20th century, earlier coins very worn, wt. 660g, 60 x foreign coins, mostly 19th & early 20th century, includes 15 x silver, 7 x cupro-nickel crowns: 1953 & 1981(x6) & a £1 note O'Brien S21J, Fair to VG; lot also includes a letter from the War Office dated 13 November 1947 adressed to a Mrs E.L. Smethurst which reads:' Madam, In reply to your communication dated 26 October, 1947, I am directed to forward herewith a copy of the citation relating to the award of the Military Cross made to your husband, Major W.M.L. Smethurst (89121), R.A. (signed with initials) Lieutenant-General, Military Secretary' letter stained & torn across centre; also included are Major Smethurst's two shoulder crowns of rank
