The brooch is in good condition. There are traces of solder where a stirrup catch has been applied. It is stamped 'PLAT', valued a platinum. It fastens with a pin and c-hook with a later applied stirrup clasp. The diamond measures 5.7mm x 5.75mm x 3.1mm. The approximate qualities of the diamond are; colour H/I, clarity SI1/SI2. Gross weight 5.1 grams. Condition Report made 6th June 2018.
