Multi-generation holding in one large and three smaller containers, begun at least a century ago and offered as a whole, with well-filled schoolboy albums and ledgerbooks (some stamps stuck down) including a useful range of mid-20th century mint sets and short sets, old glassine and paper envelopes with earlier worldwide incl. interesting Asia, as well as much postal history including imperf 1d reds on cover, colourful 19th century stamped stationery, later correspondence worldwide, through to RAF covers in two Museum albums with many more loose in cigar boxes. Also a range of ephemera incl. apparently complete Ogden's album of early photographic cigarette cards, etc. Will benefit greatly from organisation.

261 lots including several exciting original collections fresh to the market. Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
