Rhodesia & Nyasaland Proof Set 1955, a 7-coin set comprising: .500 silver halfcrown, two shillings, shilling, sixpence & threepence & bronze penny & halfpenny, Queen’s portrait by Mary Gillick on silver coins; in Royal Mint fitted case of issue, minor toning spots on halfpenny, some light toning on silver o/wise FDC as issued, a scarce set, together with South Africa proof set 1965, a 7-coin set comprising: .800 silver 1 rand, nickel 50, 20, 10 & 5 cents & bronze 1 & 2 cents, obvs with portrait of Jan van Riebeeck & revs depicting South African flora and fauna; in South African Mint fitted case of issue (exterior surface of lid badly worn), light peripheral & edge toning on 1 rand & traces of handling on nickel coins o/wise FDC as issued.
