Taxidermy: A Victorian Cased Squacco Heron (Ardeola ralloides), a full mount adult stood upon a rectangualr shelf, set against a blue painted interior, enclosed within an ebonised single-glass table display case, with gilt painted moulding, 43.5cm by 19.5cm by 51cm, mounted very much in the manner of North East Taxidermist's such as Robert Duncan and Joseph Cullingford, each adopted this simple, clean, yet very effective process of letting the natural beauty of the specimen show, and not be overpowered by a cluttered interior.
