The Triumph Herald was introduced by the Standard-Triumph Company of Coventry in 1959 and remained in production until 1971 the body design was by Giovanni Michelotti and included saloon, convertible, coupe, estate and van variants.

This car known affectionately as 'Biddy Blue' is a 12/50 model which were offered between 1963-1967 and featured as standard a tuned engine with higher output of 51bhp, disc front brakes, webasto sliding vinyl-fabric roof and came with a fine barred aluminium grille.

Presented in its original colour of light blue over dark and fitted with dark blue vinyl seats. The first lady owner a school headmistress took great care of the car and it was a regular at shows throughout her forty one year ownership with two files of photographs included in the sale showing the outings to local shows where the car won many prizes (Included with the sale are rosettes and plaques).

The car received a photographic rebuild in 1994 and the quality of the car now shows how well this was carried out. MOT dates and mileages to help confirm that the current mileage looks to be entirely correct.

Also included are three owners manuals and the original service book with coupons for the first five services, two archive boxes also include receipts for servicing and maintenance carried out whilst under the ownership of its current keeper.

The vehicle is sold with the spare parts listed in the condition report and period picnic accessories umbrellas, unused blanket, tool kit etc.

The overall condition of the vehicle is testament to the quality of the restoration carried out in 1994 and presents very well. One small crease in the O/S front wing and a couple of other minor blemishes in the paintwork. Some of the chrome does have very slight pitting. With a matched set of Marshall Radial tyres all with very good tread. Webasto roof is in very good order with no signs of any water ingress. The car really does need to be seen to appreciate. A brief list of spares included: dynamo, headlamp, brake shoes new, headlamp grilles pair new, oil filters x 6, dizzy cap and leads used, 2 x spare hoses, air filter new, workshop manual, spare coil used, track rod end new, plugs x4 used, 2x new wiper arms, fuel pump new, period number plates pair of new, front disc pair new, wheel cylinder new, clutch assembly and plate new, various seals, 2x coils new, 3 x fan belts, 5x rotor arms new, 4 x contact sets, 3x condenser sets, 8x wiper blades, gear knob and other used items including rotor arms condenser etc. Original service book shows entries for servicing at: 24/08/64 @ 969 miles 27/10/65 @ 6119 miles 26/10/67 @ 14926 miles 02/07/68 @ 17669 miles 30/09/70 @ 27637 miles Drivers log books are also included showing mileages, fuel used and day to day repairs.
