Late 19th Century French Fabric Sample Book enclosing approximately 1000 detailed hand coloured designs in watercolour, pen and pencil of various sizes including floral and geometric designs, a couple of original designs are stamped 'Henry Lyon & Co Manchester, and over 290 fabric designs in silk brocade, cut velvet and printed cottons displayed over 41 pages, 4% of the samples are missing, some have been cut out of the pages, in a black and white mottled card album, with blue paper, 33cm by 52cm
another French Album Circa 1900 and Later Enclosing Engravings and Prints of Fashionable Ladies and Fabric Samples, comprising over 120 black and white images of fashionable dress, some have been hand coloured, some are cut outs from magazines, over 260 fabric samples in paisley and other stylised coloured silk designs, over 46 double sided pages, 15% of the samples are missing, in a green and black mottled card album, 31cm by 27cm
