Accumulation of many tens of thousands of stamps from 19th century to modern new issues in five cartons/containers, with British Commonwealth and foreign in over 80 albums/stockbooks, plus loose covers and stamps in stockcards, glassines, shoeboxes with decent off-paper densely packed, etc. Some packet-type material but also many useful mint sets from the 1930s onwards, mid-20th century FDCs, Commonwealth with KGVI short sets and occasional high values, schoolboy albums incl. crammed Swiftsure with lots of China, etc. Will pan-out well when sorted through.

261 lots including several exciting original collections fresh to the market. Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
