Early 20th Century Afghanistan Costume, comprising a cotton waistcoat from Band-i-Mir lakes with stitched detail hung with numerous coins, tokens, medals and buckles, green cotton lining printed with red and pink flower heads and two internal pockets
plum velvet coloured robe hung with teardrop shaped metallic discs, coins and other items, with a checked lining to the inside, arms have been hand stitched to the back of the robe for display purposes
a navy linen skirt with faded red spots, together with a turkey red mounted waistband, embroidered with blue and pale green oval shapes, skirt is heavily embroidered and appliqued with flower head, small mirrored pieces and other items
Accessories including a pair of handmade leather slippers from Aqcha with embroidered mounts, a beaded bangle, a pair of bracelets/anklets hung with bead pom poms and metal bells, embroidered belt hung with metallic mounts inserted with coloured stones and hung with chains, cotton panel hunge with metal medallions overall

Waistcoat - numerous small holes to the reverse, fading to the front, some missing coins etc and wear to the lining.
Plum velvet robe - rubbing and wear to the velvet, some of the discs and coins are missing overall and wear.
Skirt - Some stitched repairs and numerous loose threads and pieces of mirror are missing.
