A Victorian Ceramic Scent-Bottle, Probably Second Half 19th Century, in the Rococo revival style, tapering and painted on one side with a courting couple in a landscape, signed 'Ledus', the other side painted with a bucolic lake scent, all within vari-coloured and gilded scrolls, with gilt metal mounted hinged cover, 11.5cm high

. There is some wear and loss to the gilding on the neck. There is some scratching and losses to the painted and gilt decoration.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
