Advised from vendor that this item was made for a rear rack of car, circa 1910. Internally - missing tray, canvas lining stained, several small areas where holes have appeared. Exterior - rubbing to all corners and edges, locks and studs all stamped 'Louis Vuitton'. Scuffing, scratches and dents to leather, couple of small holes to leather around back and side. Leather split to the back, along hinged area. Brass mounts to corners have cracked to back and front ones appear to have been soldered?. Leather handles look too clean to be original, probably later replacements. Wood batons to the base.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
