The brooch is in good condition, with small chips/nibbles to the facet edges of the pink topaz. The catch appears to be a later addition and it has possibly had some strengthening work. It fastens with a pin and visor catch. Oval cut topaz measure 22.29mm x 12.46mm x 7.01mm and 22.80mm x 11.55mm x 8.05mm. Pear cut topaz measure 25.01mm x 12.04mm x 7.45mm and 24.79mm x 11.70mm x 7.36mm It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamond are; colour I/J, clarity SI1/SI2. Gross weight 37.4 grams. CR made 19.12.23.
