A Pair of Point Ballet Shoes Belonging to Natalia Bessmertnova (1941-2008), prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Ballet; the shoes are signed by members of the company, and donated to a charity auction in 1990, during their Stars of the Bolshoi Ballet Tour in 1990, which included performances at Liverpool and Sunderland, together with a printed flyer from the performance.
Ms Bessmertnova joined the ballet in 1963, was prima ballerina for three decades, and regarded as one of the greatest Russian dancers.
