A Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, the oval mixed cut sapphire in a white claw setting, within a border of round brilliant cut diamonds in millegrain settings, to a tapered shoulder plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 0.55 carat approximately, finger size J see illustration The sapphire is accompanied by a Sapphire Report from Gemmological Certification Services, GCS Lab, report number 81310-28, dated 7th June, 2021, describing it as natural, no indications of heating, origin opinion Sri Lanka (Ceylon) Provenance: A Yorkshire family, by descent

. The ring is in good condition, however the surface of the sapphire is rubbed and there are chips evident. It is stamped '18CT' and in our opinion would test as gold. The sapphire measures 12.65mm x 9.62mm x 7.60mm approximately= 8.5 carat approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 5.5 grams. CR made 21.05.21.
