An Opal and Diamond Brooch/Pendant
a round cabochon opal centrally within a lozenge frame set throughout with rose cut diamonds, suspends a single old cut diamond to a heart-shaped cabochon opal within a spaced border of old cut and rose cut diamonds surmounted by a ribbon motif similarly set, in white millegrain settings, total estimated diamond weight 1.25 carat approximately

The piece is in fair condition with evidence of soldering to the reverse. It fastens with a pin and revolver catch. The piece is a marriage of a brooch and possibly a necklace clasp. It bears no hallmark nor stamp, but in our opinion would test as gold and silver. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour J/K/L, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 9.0 grams. CR made 17.05.22.
