A Victorian 1897 Pattern Infantry Officer's Sword, the 82cm epee blade etched with crowned VR cypher by Hawkes & Co., the gold painted steel hilt with later wire covered grip, with black painted steel scabbard, 100cm; a George V 1897 Pattern Infantry Officer's Sword, the 83cm steel blade etched with royal cypher, by Hawksworth, Sheffield, with plated steel hilt and leather service scabbard, 102cm; a George V Royal Artillery Officer's Sword, the 89cm steel blade etched with regimental badge and royal cypher, the back edge stamped 1938, with nickel plated three bar hilt and leather service scabbard, 109cm (3)
1 - Rust pitting and oil staining to blade. Hilt later painted gilt and with a later wire mesh grip, enamelling on scabbard is scraped.
2 - Patches of orange rust pitting towards the tip of the blade. Orange rust pitting to hilt. Scuffing to leather scabbard.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.

Militaria and Ethnographica Sales encompass items across diverse areas of collecting, from European and Eastern armour to 18th and 19th century firearms, military uniforms and documents, edged weapons, World War I and World War II ephemera, masonic regalia and medals.
Also included are a vast range of objects created in the early 20th century or earlier by indigenous cultures around the world, from early American civilisations to African tribes and Polynesian island cultures, incorporating religious idols, domestic and ritual objects, figurative sculpture, jewellery and weapons of all descriptions.
