Two postcards of R. M. S. Titanic. Firstly, a Real Photographic example by the Rotary Photographic Series of the White Star Liner and Tug. Sent to York from Hull in June 1929 and in good condition and secondly a printed Nearer My God To Thee! Bamforth postcard, Series 23. Handwritten message on the reverse: "This is one of the latest cards in Sydney. It shows the Titanic just before she took the final plunge into the mighty depths." Undated with mild creasing to lower right corner.

Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
