The necklace is in fair condition consistent with age. There are some cracks visible to some of the plaques. In our opinion the carved classical heads are mixed hardstone and lava cameos, the necklace has been altered at some stage with some cameo plaques possibly removed and two necklaces placed together. It bears no hallmark nor stamp, but in our opinion appears to be gilt, however some of the frames to the cameo plaques appear to be gold. The largest cameo measures 21mm by 28mm. Gross weight 62.3 grams. CR made 18.05.22.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
