Two French M1866 Chassepot Yataghan Sword Bayonets, one with blade edge engraved Mre. d'Armes De Chat. 1873, the steel crossguard and scabbard numbered U 43344, and one with blade edge engraved Mre, d'Armes de St. Etienne, 1874, the steel crossguard and black painted steel scabbard numbered FG 47822; a Second World War German Parade/Walking Out Bayonet, the fullered steel blade with maker's mark of visored helmet over WKC, the nickel plated hilt with chequered black plastic grip scales, with steel scabbard and leather frog (3)

All blades are good. One Chassepot has fine rust pitting to the crossguard and scabbard, the other Chassepot bayonet has fine rust pitting to the crossguard, the scabbard has been later painted black. Parade bayonet with fine rust pitting to the scabbard.

Militaria and Ethnographica Sales encompass items across diverse areas of collecting, from European and Eastern armour to 18th and 19th century firearms, military uniforms and documents, edged weapons, World War I and World War II ephemera, masonic regalia and medals.
Also included are a vast range of objects created in the early 20th century or earlier by indigenous cultures around the world, from early American civilisations to African tribes and Polynesian island cultures, incorporating religious idols, domestic and ritual objects, figurative sculpture, jewellery and weapons of all descriptions.
