Line-engraved collection/accumulation with much plated, in four volumes, well over 2000 stamps in very mixed condition, including 9 penny blacks of which two with four margins (the more attractive of which has vertical crease), lots of 1841 2d blues incl. multiples and a couple of numbers-in-cross (not four margins), imperf 1d reds incl. 17 numbers-in-cross (not four margins), later 1d reds incl. over 20 inverted watermarks, a few mint plates, two types of Copestake advertising back-print, etc. Please inspect.

Highlights of the October 30th Stamp Sale include a very extensive collection of Switzerland assembled over a lifetime by a former President of the Helvetia Society of Great Britain with focus on postal history beautifully written-up on album pages; a specialised collection of Ceylon with many of the key stamps including an excellent range of classics plus King George V key-plate high values, plus from the same estate a group of the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir including a complete presentation album sent out in 1899 on behalf of the Maharajah. Also an extremely interesting large folio presentation volume of 19th Turkish revenue proof sets with ornate binding suggesting a possibly unique production for the Ottoman royal family.
