Ronald Cameron "Poolside", bronze, edition 49/50, 11cm by 24cm by 11cm

British sculptor, Ronald Cameron studied under the Renowned Dr Karel Vogel at the Camberwell Art College and graduated in 1951 with a diploma in Sculpture. During his long and successful professional career, he worked in many fields of sculptural art, producing sculpture commissions from life size bronzes to miniatures in gold and silver.

He concentrated his talents on the classical theme of the female nude figure, he presented this traditional subject on a modern manner designed to portray the poise and confidence of the dynamic young liberated woman.

He has an established international reputation, and his sculptures are widely collected. He exhibited widely, notably in London at the Bruton Street Gallery, and the Alwin Davis Gallery, where his work was showed together with sculptures by Henry Moore, Elisabeth Frink, Lynn Chadwick and Barbara Hepworth amongst others.
