The paper support has slipped and the top edge is visible inside the mount at the top left, and has a slight concave curvature in this area. There is a one inch crease bottom left corner. There is a curious, mottled surface evident in areas, the darker patches are slightly glossy (see images). It is unclear if this is the artist technique. Very dirty glass.

Auction: The Selected Contents of Bell Hall, 15th Nov, 2024

An eclectic and decorative mixture of antiques and contemporary art will be coming under the hammer this autumn, when the Selected Contents of Bell Hall, Naburn, York, will appear in a single-owner sale at Tennants Auctioneers on 15th November.

The collection was put together over several decades, and draws together good period oak furniture, folk art, 19th century samplers, and Asian art alongside modern and contemporary paintings, ceramics and works of art, many pieces with an animal theme.
