A First World War Royal Flying Corps Uniform, to Flight Lieutenant William Sidebottom, comprising a green tunic with bronze RFC collar badges, brass buttons, embroidered pilot's wings, medal ribbon bar and rank cuffs, lined in dark gold cotton twill, with brown leather Sam Browne belt, a peaked cap with bronze RFC cap badge, leather chin strap and tailor's label for Burberry, a pair of green wool breeches with laced ankles and buttoned fly, together with his named British War Medal and Victory Medal in boxes of issue, three black and white photographs, one of a half length portrait of him in uniform, one of him in the cockpit and another of his aeroplane, with three testimonials in two envelopes; a First World War Royal Flying Corps Flight Sergeant's Maternity Pattern Jacket, with embroidered cloth shoulder titles, Flight Sergeant's propeller badges and chevrons, the right sleeve with four blue service chevrons, the left breast with trio medal ribbon bar, half lined in light grey wool, together with a side cap and puttees.
