Albany Fine China “Westpark Mustard” Newdown Heather - April Merry, modelled by Neil Campbell, 1st block May 1975, 1st painting prototype, on wood base

Provenance: From the private collection of Neil Campbell (1930-2017)

Neil Campbell had a lifelong passion for aviation, and became a skilled engineer within the industry. He spent his entire engineering career at Hymatic in Redditch, where he specialised in cryogenics. However, he was also a skilled sculptor of animals and pottery became a major activity in his life. He taught himself modelling, and how to make moulds for casting in china and bronze, and was painstaking in the care and precision with which he built up his life-like models. He became a director of Albany Fine China, and worked closely with colleagues to produce models in the 1970s and 1980s, and the present collection includes many examples of his work.

The sale will also include Albany Fine China from the private collection of Neil Campbell (1930-2017). A skilled engineer and potter, he became a director of Albany Fine China and worked closely with colleagues to produce models in the 1970s and 1980s, and the present collection includes many examples of his work.
