Taxidermy: A Superb Victorian Diorama of Tropical Birds on Chest, circa 1870-1900, a superb collection of various tropical birds, to include - three Musk Lorikeets, two Blue Winged Parrotlets, Crimson Rosella, Blue-Headed Parrot, African Grey Parrot, Village Weaver, two Violaceous Euphonias, two Brazilian Tanagers, Diademed Tanager, Red-Necked Tanager, two Green-Headed Tanager's, Stripe Bellied Tanager, Silver-Breasted Tanager, two Purple Honeycreepers, two Blue Dacnis, Red-Legged Honeycreeper, two Crimson-Hooded Manakin, Striolated Manakin, Ariel toucan, Violet Touraco, Regent Bowerbird, Ringed Kingfisher, Common Squirrel Cuckoo, Amethyst Starling, Long-Tailed Glossy Starling, three Compo Troupials, Blue Whistling Thrush, Black and Red Broadbill, Yellow-Footed Green Pigeon, Maroon-Bellied Parakeet, White-Necked Jacobin, Frilled Cocquett, Grey-Headed Gallinule, etc, the majority mounted upon a centrally mounted tree, issuing from painted faux rockwork beneath, amidst a natural setting of tall grasses and fauna, enclosed within a high quality three-glass mahogany display case with turned pillar supports, 118cm by 42cm by 117cm, supported upon a three-height mahogany chest of drawers with matching turned pillar supports, 127cm by 56.5cm by 92cm
