Taxidermy: A Late Victorian Diorama Firescreen of Tropical Birds, in the manner of Rowland Ward, 166 Piccadilly, London, a superb glazed firescreen diorama of tropical birds including - Black-throated Mango, Ruby Topaz, two Violet Sabrewings, Red-legged Honeycreeper, Green Honeycreeper, Blue-gray Tanager, Silver-beaked Tanager, Black-throated Trogon, Violaceous Euphonia, Peruvian Meadowlark, Yellow Oriole, White-headed Marsh Tyrant, all perched upon a centrally mounted branch, above painted and lichen covered groundwork, amidst a natural setting of dry grasses and fauna, enclosed within a typical period bamboo firescreen display, glazed case dimensions 45cm by 12.5cm by 56cm, overall width 57.5cm, height 110cm overall
