Taxidermy: A Satin Bowerbird (Ptilonorhynchus violaceus), circa early 20th century, a full mount adult male with head turning slightly to the left, stood upon flattened dry grasses within his display nest site, mounted upon painted faux groundwork beneath, enclosed within a later oak framed five-glass display case, 28cm by 24cm by 34.5cm .
