Accumulation of mainly postal history, the remaining part of a philatelist's estate (£16,800 hammer in our previous sale) in a large clear container, a smaller clear container and carton, with 1000s of covers and postcards, the more recent for commemorative cachets and cancels, with plenty of good earlier material incl. postal stationery from QV onwards, the collector's WWII correspondence and field post (SS Fort Reliance etc) with many redirected incl. Hong Kong, lots of FDCs and First Flights from the 1930s onwards, helicopter mail, much Ireland incl. first day, hundreds of early QEII fairs, conferences etc, in very clean condition. Thorough inspection recommended.

Highlights of the October 30th Stamp Sale include a very extensive collection of Switzerland assembled over a lifetime by a former President of the Helvetia Society of Great Britain with focus on postal history beautifully written-up on album pages; a specialised collection of Ceylon with many of the key stamps including an excellent range of classics plus King George V key-plate high values, plus from the same estate a group of the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir including a complete presentation album sent out in 1899 on behalf of the Maharajah. Also an extremely interesting large folio presentation volume of 19th Turkish revenue proof sets with ornate binding suggesting a possibly unique production for the Ottoman royal family.
