1968 Ford Corsair Deluxe
Registration number: YOO 541F
Sold for £4,500
Estimated at £4,000 - £6,000
Closely related to the Cortina, the Corsair was built at Dagenham and Halewood between 1963-'70. Powered at first by a 60BHP inline 4, this model then got the more powerful Essex V4. Sporting the popular V4 engine, this is a very nice and honest example with bags or originality, very much an enthusiasts car, it has appeared from longterm ownership and although not a show car is a very smart and correct Corsair. The paintwork is generally very nice with some wear and some micro blistering. Chrome work and stainless over the entire car is bright and straight. The interior appears to be extremely original and gives the impression that this has been a well maintained and loved classic all its life. Definitely a car that could be used as a daily driver but could be improved and detailed. It is however an extremely solid and rust free example of this iconic sixties ford with the much sought after V4 engine with the refinements of the Deluxe badge
