Training normally takes place on two consecutive days, usually a weekend on specific dates to be agreed, at the Yorkshire Ouse Sailing Club Training Centre on the Yorkshire Ouse at Naburn, York. All equipment and training books supplied.

The Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust (YDRT) was established in 2004 as a Registered Charity, working to enhance and protect the rivers of the Yorkshire Dales for the benefit of everyone.
YDRT works across the catchments of the five major rivers in the Yorkshire Dales; the Ure, Swale, Nidd, Ouse and Wharfe, to improve water quality, increase biodiversity, deliver natural flood management and habitat creation projects as well as engaging with schools and communities.
Last year our Rivers2U education programme engaged with over 1500 school children, inspiring the next generation by teaching them about our rivers and wildlife and how they can help care for and protect our river ecosystems. All funds raised from the auction will go towards running the education programme in 2024.
